Katy Perry’s performance at AFL received an explosive response and went viral on social media. However, recently, a series of clips cut from Katy’s livestream performance caused fierce controversy. Many malicious comments rated this performance poorly, saying that Katy Perry’s singing was hard to hear and even “lost” in the midst of 100,000 people. 

These posts immediately received mixed reviews. Fans defended Katy Perry, as the performance was a complete blast both visually and aurally. The video cut from the livestream inevitably had audio issues. 

Not to mention, performing in front of a large audience of over 100,000 people – set up for a football match, cannot possibly reach the quality of a real concert. Fans think that anti-fans are going too far in “slandering” Katy Perry. 

All in all, the AFL stage is still an impressive milestone in Katy Perry’s career. Rarely does anyone get to perform at both the Super Bowl Halftime Show and the AFL like Katy Perry.
