Actress Sophie Turner, 28, said she struggled to care for her two young children and balance her life after divorcing singer Joe Jonas last year.
While promoting Joan – a TV series about a notorious diamond thief and single mother – Sophie told the Sunday Times : “If I wasn’t a mother, I don’t know if I could bring that kind of energy to the role. It’s hard being a single mother. Joan didn’t do it in the best way, but she really did her best for her daughter.”

Sophie Turner said that her character in the film gave her the strength to be a good mother during the difficult time. The Game of Thrones actress also revealed that she felt a lot of guilt when being a mother because she had to balance her time between taking care of her children and her work.
The British actress has two daughters with singer Joe Jonas: Willa, 4, and Delphine, 2. Joe filed for divorce in September last year while she was filming Joan . The former stars had a custody battle after their split, with Sophie moving back to the UK while Joe Jonas stayed in the US.
Sophie and Joe’s divorce was finalized on September 10 after they agreed on all issues. The terms of the agreement are confidential.

Sophie Turner has been dating Joe Jonas since 2016, and got engaged a year later when Sophie was just 21. In May 2019, the couple married in a Las Vegas church after the Billboard Awards. A month later, they held a wedding ceremony at a castle in France with many relatives and friends. Their two daughters were born in 2020 and 2022, respectively.
