A source present at the trial revealed to the media about Diddy’s attention-grabbing state: “He was still smiling and waving to King, who was sitting in the second row of the courtroom.”
This person said, Diddy then hugged his lawyer tightly, before the trial began. This action of Diddy with his lawyer received much attention from the public.
Diddy’s trial on the afternoon of October 10 also saw the appearance of the “boss’s” relatives such as: His biological mother – Mrs. Janice Combs, 6 of Diddy’s 7 children including Quincy Brown, Justin Combs, Christian “King” Combs, Chance Combs and twins Jessie – D’Lila Combs.

Judge Arun Subramanian reportedly set a trial date of May 5, 2025. “Our investigation is ongoing,” said Assistant U.S. Attorney Emily Johnson, adding that there was a possibility of a superseding indictment, which could impact the timing of the trial.
As for Diddy, his attorney said the rapper will remain at the Metropolitan Detention Center and will no longer request a transfer to another prison in Essex County, New Jersey.
Earlier this week, Diddy’s lawyers filed a third appeal for bail. Diddy’s lawyers argued that there was insufficient evidence to hold the rapper and that there were legal errors in the court’s decision. However, this bail request was denied. Because the prosecutor feared that if released, Diddy could cause difficulties for witnesses as well as hinder the investigation process. In addition, the prosecutor said that Diddy could escape on a private plane, because the rapper is very rich.
