On September 30 (US time), singer Lorde suddenly deleted all her old posts on Instagram. Then, she posted a series of close-up photos of her face, revealing her injured and bruised eyes. Immediately, these photos caused a stir on social media.

Many people are concerned that Lorde was seriously injured or abused. However, there are also opinions that this is just a disguise. Because the female singer posted the caption  “DYHTS?”  and a picture of a hat with the words  “Do you have the stones?” , some people think that this is the name of her new music product. In response to mixed opinions from netizens, Lorde did not explain further.

Lorde was born in 1996 in New Zealand, her real name is Ella Marija Lani Yelich-O’Connor. She performed in music and drama classes from a young age. By the age of 13, the singer had signed a recording contract with Universal Music Group. 

In 2012, Lorde released her debut EP,  The Love Club,  with the single  Royals  reaching number one on the Billboard Hot 100, the New Zealand Top 40, and charting worldwide. Lorde is the first New Zealand solo artist to reach number one in the United States. 

In 2013, Lorde released her debut album  Pure Heroine.  The album was a critical and commercial success, receiving two Grammy Award nominations. The single ”  Royals”  also earned a Grammy nomination for Song of the Year. She appeared on Time magazine’s most influential teens list in 2013 and 2014, and was named to Forbes Under 30 in 2014. Lorde has sold over 5 million albums worldwide.
