Jennifer Lopez appears in a pre-recorded clip for the 50th anniversary of the American Music Awards
In the clip aired on CBS, Jennifer Lopez wore a pink blouse with gold earrings. Her attitude was calm and gentle, despite the storms in her marriage with Ben.
“This is amazing, right?” the 55-year-old artist begins the clip. “The American Music Awards have been around for 50 years. I remember watching this at home since I was a little girl ,” she says.
Jennifer has a long and storied history with the American Music Awards. Recalling her first appearance in 2001, she shared: “It was a long time ago, but I still remember the vibrant atmosphere in the auditorium that day.”

Jennifer Lopez also recalled her 2011 Favorite Latin Artist award , saying, “Winning the fan-voted category was a really special experience, because it came directly from the people the music was meant for.”
In 2015, the mother of two wowed the audience and other stars with a medley of her biggest hits. “I decided to be different every time I appeared,” Jennifer recalled of her role as MC that year.
The artist ended the video by expressing her love for music. She has two Grammy nominations , a Billboard Music Award , and a string of nine Billboard Latin Music Awards throughout her career.
Jennifer Lopez filed for divorce from Ben Affleck on August 20, citing “irreconcilable differences.” She said she did not want to receive or provide financial support to her ex-husband.
Lopez’s filing lists the artists’ separation date as April 26. Notably, the singer filed the petition without a lawyer, acting as her own representative.
Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck’s marriage has broken down, which did not surprise fans. They saw the couple vacationing on different coasts and not appearing together since early June this year.
Most recently, the couple was spotted having lunch together with Jennifer’s two children, Max and Emme (with ex-husband Marc Anthony), and two of Ben’s three children, Fin and Samuel (with ex-wife Jennifer Garner).
