rapper Diddy is said to be in a positive mood and is no longer on suicide watch after nearly two weeks in a New York jail.
“He is very strong,” a lawyer for the 54-year-old music mogul told People Sunday . “He is focused on his defence and preparing for trial.”
Diddy’s attorney Marc Agnifilo also confirmed to TMZ that the rapper is in “positive spirits.” Marc said: “He’s focused on trying to make things right. That gives him strength and confidence that I think will help him get through this difficult time.”

Diddy was arrested on September 16 for rape and prostitution and is being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York. According to The Post , the prison is rumored to have harsh conditions and houses many sex offenders, including former singer R. Kelly and businessman Ghislaine Maxwell. Diddy is being held in a separate area from other inmates.
The rapper was placed on suicide watch in the early days after his arrest as a precaution. Sources at the time said the rapper was in shock and mentally unstable. However, last week, the rapper was reportedly no longer on watch.
Marc Agnifilo said lawyers are meeting with Diddy every day and the rapper has accepted the reality of the situation. They are trying to get the case to court as soon as possible.
According to CNN , lawyers are also trying to get Diddy released on bail. Previously, the rapper was denied bail of $50 million twice. The judge agreed with prosecutors that the rapper could flee and was a “danger to the community”. Diddy is also accused of bribing witnesses, hindering the investigation.
In an indictment released on September 17, Diddy (real name Sean Combs) is accused of forcing women to attend sex parties called Freak Offs and recording them. The parties could last for days, and Diddy and his victims often needed IVs to recover. The music mogul’s staff allegedly helped arrange transportation, book hotel rooms, and stock supplies, including drugs, lubricants, and bed sheets. During raids on the rapper’s homes in Los Angeles and Miami in March, federal agents discovered 1,000 bottles of baby oil, lubricants, drugs, and guns.
